University Heights is a community of approximately 15,000 located 20 minutes east of Cleveland and is accessible via I-90.
University Heights was founded in the early twentieth century as Idlewood Village. Its name changed when John Carroll University—previously located on the west side—began a new campus on the east side. Today, University Heights is a diverse suburb featuring historic, well-kept homes.

University Heights is home to John Carroll University, one of the highest-ranked Jesuit universities in the Midwest. The community is also known for its historic homes and quiet, tree-lined streets. Its attractions include Purvis Park, which was redeveloped in 1995 to include a renovated swimming pool and recreation facilities.
