Top 10 Places to Watch a Sunset in Cleveland
No matter your location in the greater Cleveland area, we have put together a guide of our top ten places to watch a sunset within the city where you can also enjoy views of Lake Erie.
Located on Cleveland's near west side, Edgewater Park offers a number of locations to catch a spectacular sunset. The park features a beach, pier, and open grass area with lots of space.
2. Wendy Park
Another near west hot spot for sunset viewing, Wendy Park is located in Whiskey Island with views of downtown Cleveland, the Cuyahoga river, the historic Coast Guard Station, and Lake Erie.
The historic Coast Guard Station is located just a short walk from Wendy Park and features scenic views of both downtown Cleveland and the lake.
If you are looking for a sunset and bite-to-eat option, the Flats East Bank is an excellent choice. With the Riverwalk near a number of great restaurants, this location is a great place to enjoy a night out.
5. Voinovich Bicentennial Park
Located at the north end of E. 9th Street, Voinovich Bicentennial Park is another location that features dinner and a sunset option. Or take a picnic to enjoy the park's beautiful green space!
Just east of downtown Cleveland, the E. 55th Street Marina provides visitors with picnic areas and unobstructed views of Lake Erie.
This location features picturesque views of both downtown Cleveland and Lake Erie. Easily accessible from I-90, the 72nd Street Pier is located within walking distance to both the Lakefront Nature Preserve and E. 55th Street Marina.
8. Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve
Check out the Lakefront Nature Preserve located just north of I-90 at the far west edge of Bratenahl. With a number of trails and a variety of wildlife habitats, this nature preserve is a hidden gem.
Similar to Edgewater Park, Euclid Beach Park features a large beach, pier, and plenty of green space for a picnic. The newer constructed pier is positioned to provide the most spectacular views of Lake Erie and a colorful sunset.
10. Wildwood Marina
Just east of Euclid Beach Park, the Wildwood Marina is a lovely place to watch a sunset and enjoy the boats as they come and go.
